Our Cottage Abaya is intentionally designed with a very flowy, layered silhouette using a large amount of fabric, which naturally makes it heavier and warmer than our simpler collections.

The sleeves were intentionally designed with a firmer elastic cuff to create the puffed sleeve look and accommodate smaller wrists securely, though the elastic is intended to soften and loosen slightly with wear over time. However, we completely understand comfort preferences vary from person to person and have noted to use a different elastic. The neckline is also designed high for modest coverage, which can feel more structured when fully zipped. As for the chest area, lighter colors and certain fabrics may show outlines underneath depending on lighting, layering, and undergarments, which is why we typically recommend seamless or nude underlayers beneath the garment.
